The Rays need a new spark plug!

Maybe I am impatient but it seems like it is time for the Rays to make some moves to solidify their starting rotation. Jeff Niemann is really struggling and has not made but one start where we could see some light at the end of the tunnel. Andy Sonnanstine normally warms up after about 5 or 6 starts. With Isringhausen on the mend and almost ready to return to the bullpen it is only logical to want to pull Niemann. Two options may be Mitch Talbot or David Price. If the Rays want to stick to their plan of reserving Price then it certainly looks like Talbot could fill in the final starter spot.

Price has proven he can handle the pressure of the big leagues and his recent imperfections in the minors may only be attributed to trying to “over” prove himself since he was sent down. No doubt Price belongs with the Rays now to be their spark plug like Longo was last year.

Since you beat us 3 out of the 4 games in the series this weekend, I think your starting rotation is just fine. lol!
